Should you be experiencing problems with the serial control of a player:
- Check that the correct brand of display has been selected
- Ensure all cables are firmly connected
- Ensure that serial control has been enabled on the screen
- Ensure cables are not damaged or of the wrong type (ie serial vs null-modem)
- The correct baud rate is set for the screen (usually 9600 kbps)
- Ensure the correct com port has been selected
