Digital signage consists of two parts, the player and the screen.
The screen is what shows the content, and the player is the device responsible for getting content and sending it to the screen.
Generally the screen and player are two separate devices, but this is not always the case.
When checking the screen using the remote, if the screen isn't responding it's always worth checking the remote's batteries
